Holistic, Patient-Centered, Culturally Informed Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

Serving Washington, DC, Maryland & Virginia

Evidence-based, personalized mental health care with an integrative and unrushed approach. It’s a privilege to be on this journey with you.

I strive to provide compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to adults in the DMV area who are experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, and more.

While adults of all ages and backgrounds are welcome, I specialize in supporting multicultural and BIPOC clients, as well as pregnant and postpartum clients.

Services

  • Initial Psychiatric Evaluation

For all clients, I conduct a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation over 1-3 sessions to understand your current challenges, and provide you with a holistic treatment plan.

You’ll then have the option of continuing therapy and/or medication management.

  • Psychotherapy with or without Medication

Unlike many psychiatrists, I offer psychotherapy, which can help you gain a deeper understanding of your inner world. We’ll work together to address the patterns and behaviors which underlie presenting difficulties.

You’ll have the option of therapy on its own, or therapy with medication management.

  • Medication Management

After the Initial Psychiatric Evaluation, we’ll meet periodically, as needed, to manage your medication. Though I will recommend the approach that’s best supported by scientific data, your choice of treatment modality is a personal decision.

If you’re already working with a therapist, but need a psychiatrist to manage your medication treatment, I can help.

Welcome. I’m Fatima Noorani, MD, a Virginia-based psychiatrist and therapist supporting adults in the DMV area in their journey toward a more balanced, fulfilling, and meaningful life.

My own lived experience as an immigrant woman of color, combined with my training in medicine and psychology, provides you with holistic care that takes into account mind, body, spirit, and environment.

Seeking out help can be difficult given the biases, stigma, and barriers surrounding mental health care.

I’m here to support you in your wellbeing and healing in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

I’m looking forward to supporting you.
